A Social Life // Short Film by Kerith Lemon
Are you living the life that you post? A Social Life is a short film about a career driven woman named Meredith who’s living the life she’s always dreamed of… online. Meredith strives to live a balanced life: staying fit, working hard and connecting with her friends; she is creating her „image“ within her broader social media friend base. But she awakes one day and realizes that her reflection is merely the collection of photos that she has shared with others. Is this her life? Or just a carefully curated brand? The Walk of Life Project
Peter Salomone hat eine einfache Hypothese: „Walk of life“ von den Dire Straits ist der perfekte Song für jedes Filmende.“ Also mich persönlich hat der gute Mann überzeugt. Funktioniert bei „2001: A Space Odyssey“ genauso gut wie bei The Dark Knight Rises, Drive, The Godfather, Lost in Translation oder The Matrix. Viele weitere Beispiele gibt’s bei „The Walk of Life Project„.
Loving Vincent // Movie Trailer
Every Best Visual Effects Winner. Ever.
Alle Academy Awards Gewinner für „Best Visual Effects“ von 1927 bis heute zusammengestellt von Burger Fiction. Schaut auch mal in ihren Youtube-Channel – da gibt’s noch weitere Schmankerl wie „Movie Phone Super Call„, „Every James Bond Gadget. Ever.“ oder „Every Best Picture. Ever.“ zum Prokrastinieren. We had so much fun putting together every best picture ever, we thought we’d highlight every best visual effects winner next. For the 1927/28 Academy awards, the award was for engineering effects. There was no award again until 1938 where it was called a special award „for outstanding achievement in creating special photographic and sound effects. The very next year the award was combined with sound effects and called the Award for Special Effects. It wasn’t until 1963 that the award became the Award for Best Visual Effects (which it is still called today). It was given every year from 1963 to present, with the exception of 1973. Hope you enjoy!
