International music agency MassiveMusic has teamed up with War Child, In Case of Fire, Sony and Universal to create a timely and powerful new film that highlights the plight of young refugees. A young refugee boy strikes up an unlikely friendship with Batman in this charming film that also packs a pertinent punch. Set to Queen’s feel-good track, ‘You’re My Best Friend’, it follows the inseparable duo as they transform the refugee camp into their playground – playing football, arm-wrestling, and hide-and-seek. The heart-warming mood takes a surprising twist as the masked crusader is revealed to have been the boy’s father all along, and a result of the fantasy world constructed by the child as a coping mechanism to escape the grim reality of his life.

Sarah Seené ist eine französische Analog-Fotografin aus Montreal, die vor allem mit Polaroid und 35mm Film arbeitet. Ihre Werke projizieren oftmals eine seltsam unwirkliche Atmosphäre zwischen Traum und Poesie, gemischt mit Kindheitserinnerungen und Einsamkeit. Sie ist außerdem Teil von „The 12.12 project“ und „World Wide Women“ – zwei internationalen Kollektiven von Analog Fotografinen. Darüberhinaus ist sie Mitbegründerin der Langstrecken-Kollaboration „I’ll be your mirror“ mit der amerikanischen Fotografin Sarah Elise Abramson. Ihre Werke wurden neben zahlreichen internationalen Magazinen und Webzines auch in über 40 Solo- und Gemeinschaftsausstellungen gezeigt, darunter in Paris, Berlin, Prag, Milan, Amsterdam, London, Montreal und New-York. One for the night // Bicep: Glue

Killer Track aus der aktuellen Glue EP von Bicep und dazu passendes, sentimentales Video dass den Raves der 90er nachtrauert. Inspired by the song’s homage to the rave era, the video for Bicep’s GLUE by Joe Wilson is a series of landscapes which revisit the sites once brought alive by now infamous raves. Today they sit desolate and empty, retreating back to their former state, with little to show of their impact they had on UK music culture. The static shots offer space to reflect on the importance and idiosyncrasy of these locations and how an abandoned lido, remote airfield and disused warehouse helped to shape the lives of a generation. Juxtaposed with the images are the hazy, fragmented recollections of those who were there, lifted from Youtube comment sections of the genre’s most defining sounds. Perhaps the most beautiful and poignant pieces of evidence from the period, they eulogise over a time of unity and euphoria, and are a longing to be returned for just one more night.
