Deep Dark Fears // Tumblr of the day
Glowing City // Photography by Slava Semeiuta
I love everything that looks cosmic. Now I often use body painting and Digital Art. I photograph my models turning them into cosmic creatures. I am inspired by music genres: AMBIENT, IDM, TECHNO, AFRICAN RHYTHMS. In my opinion all the most beautiful and really valuable things are right before our eyes from the very childhood, and probably for this reason we stop to notice it when we grow up. Seeing the splendor in things that other people call dull or even unpleasant is a very controversial gift, but at the same time wonderful. I created an algorithm in Houdini that would do the subdivisions. The algorithm takes the original image, calculates the density of information and then subdivides it, based on a few user-controllable parameters. The result is a mosaic of rectangles that highlight the subtle changes in the colour palette of the original. The more information there is the on the original, the more it is subdivided and thus the smaller the rectangle elements. The less information, the larger the rectangle area. You could say there is a similarity to the painters’ approach of using broader and finer strokes. » Portraits by Dimitris Ladopoulos / Website: dimitris-ladopoulos.xyz/projects/portraits.html » Dimitris Ladopoulos @Behance: behance.net/dimitris_ladopoulos » Prints @Redbubble: redbubble.com/de/people/dladopoulosOne for the night // Aphex Twin: T69 Collapse
